WHERE better to stage a play about a quiz — than in a pub!
Next month the Two Tubs in Bury town centre, together with Ramsbottom Cricket Club, will be transformed into stages for The Last Quiz Night on Earth.
Set during the last night on earth as an asteroid heads straight for the planet, what better way of going out is there than a pub quiz!
Some unexpected guests turn up out of the blue and it becomes a night of settling scores and finding love.
The Met is bringing the play to Bury, following the sell-out show Chip Shop Chips by theatre company Box of Tricks.
The production is part of the Bury theatre’s work to take art into the community.

Ben Baughan, The Met marketing manager, said: “With pies and chips, what better place to stage the a play about a quiz night with a twist.
“This is part of The Met’s work to take the arts to the community and make culture more accessible and take it to the people.
“The Chip Shop Chips was a huge success and that was performed off-site.”
Since theatres opened after restrictions have lifted, The Met has put on a full programme and workshops for all ages and tastes.
Family friendly entertainment was put on during half-term.
Ben said: “Audiences have been coming back since restrictions were lifted and supporting us.
“We have our workshops back, music events and shows coming up.”
The Last Quiz Night on Earth The Met
Last Quiz Night on Earth will take place at The Two Tubs on Thursday, March 10 and at Ramsbottom Cricket Club in the championship room on Friday, March 11 and Saturday, March 12.
As the Bury night takes place in a working pub, the performance is restricted to over 18s only.
There are no age restrictions on the Ramsbottom performances.
