POLICE have launched an investigation after a woman was reportedly raped in the Whitefield area on Thursday.
Officers arrived at an address just before 10:15am on Thursday (28 April) following a report of a rape.
It is understood that the woman is currently receiving specialist support.
Police are continuing to conduct enquiries and are appealing for any information in connection with the incident.
A spokesperson for GMP said: “Officers were called just before 10.15am on Thursday to a report of a rape at an address in the Whitefield area.
“A woman was raped and is receiving specialist support at this time.
“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information can report it online or via LiveChat on www.gmp.police.uk.”
