AFTER two years, Bury Bandemonium is returning with a bang to bring music to the town centre next month.
The free open-air event on Saturday, June 18 will be the town’s seventh Bandamonium.
Shoppers and families can follow the sounds of brass, concert bands and choirs who will be performing in various locations around the town’s centre.
Organiser Andrew Taylor is hoping the weather stays dry.
He said: "It’s absolutely fantastic to have Bury Bandemonium back after two years of Covid.
“Bands and choirs have begun rehearsing and are excited about performing to the shoppers who visit our wonderful town centre."
Bloco Ashe samba band, who also performed at Bury Pride, will be kicking off the occasion in Kay Gardens followed by Crumpsall Concert Band.
Tottington Public Band will be playing in St John’s Square at The Rock while the Bolton Caledonian Pipe Band will be on The Rock itself.
Bands and choirs can perform in open-air spaces for the first time in two years after being cancelled in 2020 and 2021.
Any other bands or choirs who are interested in joining the Bandemonium, are being asked to contact Mr Taylor at jat999@tinyworld.co.uk
