A MAN in his 30s was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash involving a motorbike and a car on a busy road in Whitefield.
Emergency services arrived on Bury New Road, just after 4:30pm on Tuesday 17 May.
Firefighters treated the man at the scene before he was taken to hospital.
The crew stayed for around an hour and a half, after they made sure the area was safe.
There was also a cordon in place at the time.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: "Just after 4:30pm on Tuesday 17 May one crew from Whitefield fire station attended a road traffic collision involving a car and a motorcycle on Bury New Road, Whitefield.
"One person was treated at the scene by firefighters before being conveyed to hospital by colleagues from North West Ambulance Service.
“The crew made the vehicles safe and departed after around an hour-and-a-half at the scene."
A spokesperson from North West Ambulance Service said: “We responded to an RTC involving a car and a motorbike, the rider a man in his 30s suffered serious injuries.”
