METROLINK services between Bury and Victoria are experiencing "severe delays" after a branch fell on an overhead line today, Saturday.

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) confirmed that services between Victoria and Bury are experiencing "severe delays" in both directions after the incident.

Earlier today, TfGM reported that the branch was the cause of disruption between Crumpsall and Bowker Vale.

Services between Whitefield and Crumpsall were affected.

Services are continuing to operate between Bury and Whitefield and Crumpsall and Atringham/Piccadilly.

TfGM have advised passengers to use alternative public transport, or to walk where possible.

Ticket acceptance is in place on the 41, 97, 98 and 135 bus services only.

Some of the services listed may not accept Metrolink tickets/passes, so you may have to purchase a separate bus ticket to be able to make your journey.
