Bury's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And five of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week: 

• M60, from 9pm on March 16 to 6am on August 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound, junction 4 - three lane closures and carriageway closures due to barrier scheme.

And a further five closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M60, from 9pm on Tuesday, June 21 to 5am on Wednesday, June 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 16 to 17 - lane closure for communications.

• M60, from 9pm on Tuesday, June 21 to 5am on Wednesday, June 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 18 to junction 19 - carriageway closure for horticulture (cutting and planting).

• M60, from 9pm on Wednesday, June 22 to 6am on Thursday, June 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anticlockwise, junction 20 - lane closures and slip road closure due to maintenance works.

• M60, from 9pm on Wednesday, June 22 to 6am on Thursday, June 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 16 to M62, junction 19 lane closures and slip road closures due to survey works.

• M60, from 6.30am to 9.30am on Sunday, June 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60, junction 18 roundabout - lane closure for technology works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
