Continuing our look back through the archives of photos when Queen Elizabeth II visited Bury and the surrounding area, this picture shows the Queen with the Mayor of Radcliffe, Councillor Alfred Shea at Bradley Fold Station during a whistle stop visit to the town in May 1968.
Her Majesty visited towns across the North West to see the work which had been carried out as part of Operation Springclean, an initiative aimed at ‘smartening up’ the region.
