Bury’s Tourist Information Centre (TIC) is calling for all keen photographers to send in their scenic pictures of the borough for a chance to be featured in its 2023 calendar.

Every year, the TIC, located in the Fusilier Museum, brings together a collection of wonderful images to make an official Bury calendar.

Images are sent in from residents across the borough, catching the changing seasons and beauty of the surroundings.

The calendar will be available towards the end of October, in good time to buy for Christmas.

Images can be sent directly to touristinformation@bury.gov.uk.

Any pictures which can’t be used in this year’s calendar will either be held over for future calendars or displayed at the TIC on a media wall for visitors to see what Bury has to offer.

To reserve a calendar, call 0161 253 5111 or email touristinformation@bury.gov.uk.

Charity Christmas cards also on sale at the TIC

For the 12th year, the TIC is stocking a wide range of Christmas cards to raise money for charities.

Angela Warrington at the TIC said: “Charities always struggle during hard times and one of the best things we can do is support them with our choices during the festive season.

“This year we are working with a number of charities including Macmillan Cancer Support, Help for Heroes, Shelter and Bury Hospice, Alzheimer’s, RSPB and more.

“Alongside our range of cards, we have a wonderful collection of gifts and stocking fillers that you won’t see in local shops, so if you are looking for something a bit different, call in and see what’s on offer.”
