When this photo was first published in April 1984 it gave Bury Times readers their first look at Radcliffe’s new £305,000 bus station.
The Dale Street base replaced the original bus station which dated back to the early 1900s.
As the new-look bus station took shape traders complained about a loss of business with bus passengers having to use temporary stops.
The bus station featured block-paved carriageways, modern shelters, seating, litter bins and clearer signage.
What are your memories of it?
