Bury's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And four of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• A56, from 9pm on October 17 to 6am on December 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A56 northbound and southbound, M66, J1 to Bent Gate - carriageway closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.

A further five closures have started or will begin over the next couple of weeks:

• M60, from 9pm on Monday, October 24 to 6am on February 11, 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junctions 17 to 18 - lane closure for inspection/survey.

• M60, from 9pm on Monday, October 31 to 6am on Monday, November 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise J16 - M62 eastbound, J19 - M62 westbound, J19 - M60 anticlockwise J17 - M60 anticlockwise - M66 northbound, J3 - M66 southbound, junction 3 - M60 anticlockwise J19 lane closures and slip road closures and carriageway closures due to survey works.

• M60, from 9pm on Tuesday, November 1 to 6am on Wednesday, November 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J18 to J17 - lane closure for white lining/road markings.

• M62, from 9pm on Friday, November 4 to 6am on Saturday, November 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, J10 to J21 - lane closure for inspection/survey.

• M60, from 8.30pm on Saturday, November 5 to 6am on Monday, November 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anticlockwise junctions 19-18- lane closures and slip road closures due to maintenance works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
