A man is fighting for his life after a stabbing in Whitefield on Tuesday.
Emergency services were called to Harleck Avenue at around 5pm after reports of a disturbance.
Police say they found a man with injuries "consistent" from being stabbed.
His injuries are "believed to life-threatening".
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said: “At around 5pm on Tuesda, November 22, GMP were called to reports of a disturbance at Harlech Street, Whitefield.
“Officers have attended the scene and a man was found with injuries consistent with a bladed article.
“Emergency services attended the scene, and the man was taken to hospital for injuries which are believed to be life-threatening.
“An investigation is underway to establish the circumstances.”
The incident comes just a day after a major incident in Prestwich when shots were fired and a car set on fire in a targeted attack.
