New beginnings as all-weather pitch for Bury takes shape
Work getting underway on the construction of an all-weather synthetic sports pitch for Bury in 1990.
The £308,000 project was funded by Bury Council, Bury FC and the Football Trust and the pitch would be used by Bury FC for training and local teams. The council was looking at promoting hockey and American football on the new facility.
