A married couple from Radcliffe who turned their hobby into a pizzeria are celebrating the one-year anniversary of trading. 

Rhyse and Trisha Cathcart opened Dough So Good Pizzeria in Radcliffe Market on February 10, 2022.

After jumping at the chance to fill a vacant stall in the market, the pair say they have seen their business go from strength to strength and are “incredibly grateful” to their customers who have supported their venture. 

Rhyse said: “The pizza life chose us. We were making pizzas from home on Friday evenings and progressed to buying a wood-fired garden pizza oven and it all really started from there.

“When a stall became vacant in Radcliffe Market we jumped at the chance to turn our hobby into a business.”

Dedicated to crafting authentic Neopolitan pizza, Rhyse and Trisha enlisted the help of Nichola Jackson Jones who is the PAPA UK Pizza Chef of the year. 

Rhyse said: “Trisha went on a Marco Fuso intense pizza course to further progress her knowledge.

“Using this training from an international award-winning pizzaiola gave us the start to a successful pizzeria.

“Since then we have continued to build our reputation in the pizza community and have become part of a thriving network of north West pizzaiolas.”

Dough So Good's anniversary falls a day after National Pizza Day, which was yesterday, Thursday, February 9.

The eaterie will also be releasing a new menu with some additional pizza offerings and the introduction of pasta dishes. 

Rhyse added: “If you love pizza and want an authentic experience get down to Radcliffe Market, it's the perfect excuse to grab a bite to eat and have a pint.”

Dough So Good is open from 5pm to 10th on Thursdays when it has its weekly quiz night, Fridays from 4pm to 9pm for "Friday Foodie Night", Saturdays from 12pm to 9pm with live music or DJ sets and Sundays from 1pm to 6pm.
