A popular Ramsbottom restaurant is on the market for £1.5m   

Hearth of the Ram on Peel Brow has been listed as up for sale on Rightmove for £1,500,000 as owners, Euan and Dena Watkins, are said to be looking to retire.

Dubbed one of the “premier hospitality venues within the area”, the restaurant is an award-winning venue having won a Michelin Bib Gourmand Award in 2016. 

In May 2012, Euan and Dena Watkins transformed the 200-year-old character building with a huge refurbishment.

A spokesperson from Rightmove said: “During the course of the last 10 years the business has established itself as one of the premier hospitality venues within the area, and as our clients look to retire this is an ideal opportunity to purchaser (or lease) an established and successful business.”

The site is a five minute walk to the town centre. 

Inside, the restaurant offers traditional style period features alongside contemporary design and all fixtures and fittings, not owned by a third party or personal to the owners, are to be included in the sale.

According to Rightmove, the management accounts for nine months to December 2021 showed a net turnover of £858,215 for the venue with a gross profit of £561,669 (65 per cent).
