No trams will be running between Bury and Crumpsall this weekend due to planned engineering works at the Whitefield Metrolink stop.

Trams will still be operating between Crumpsall and Piccadilly and a replacement bus service will operate on both Saturday and Sunday between Bury and Victoria.

Tram services will resume in full on Monday, February 20.

Bus replacements will be available from each tram stop on the Bury line up to Victoria and Metrolink staff will be at key locations to help out.

A Transport for Greater Manchester spokesperson said: “On Saturday, February 18 buses will operate every 12 minutes.

“From Bury towards Victoria, the first bus will depart at 5.21am and the last bus will depart at 11.39pm.

“From Victoria towards Bury, the first bus will depart at 4.50am and the last bus will depart at 11.32pm.

“On Sunday, 19 February buses will operate every 12 minutes.

“From Bury towards Victoria, the first bus will depart at 6.21am and the last bus will depart at 12.09am.

“From Victoria towards Bury, the first bus will depart at 5.50am and the last bus will depart at 11.14pm.”

People can also park at Crumpsall and complete their journey into Manchester on the tram.
