Cardwells celebrate double success at International Property Awards

The awards event was a glamourous ceremony at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London, where Cardwells Estate Agents Bury won:

• The Best Estate Agency in Lancashire 
• The Best Estate Agency Marketing in Lancashire

Cardwells came out as the winners at the largest Awards within the property industry, which has a judging panel which includes three Peers - Lord Caithness, Lord Best, and Lord Waverley and a process that includes, customer consultations and Mystery Shopping experiences, so Cardwells service is tested without them being aware they are being assessed.

Andrew Cardwell said: "These awards are a wonderful recognition of the outstanding work of my colleagues.  I am so proud to be able to work alongside them and learn from them each day.  These awards belong to my colleagues, for their continued and unwavering energy in trying achieving the very best for our clients."

This is the second year in a row that Cardwells Estate Agents Bury have won big at these awards, last year Bury was classed as being in the Greater Manchester region rather than Lancashire, and Cardwells won both awards then too!  So this is Cardwells maintaining the awards! Its tough to get the top and its often even harder to stay there, so this is a great achievement.

One of the great things about these awards are that customers are consulted during the judging process and mystery shopping experiences are also included.  This is a long assessment process over many months.  Andrew spoke of his pride:

"There are many estate agency offices in Lancashire, so for our small business in Bury to be recognised as the best of them all is quite an accolade. My Father, Richard, started our business in 41 years ago, and he is just a proud as I am.

"Our priority is to look after our client’s best interests, and this is just as important today as it was when we started in 1982. Although some of the marketing methods have changed a little in that time."

The second award that Cardwells won was for the "Best Estate Agency Marketing". This considered the materials that estate agents prepare to advertise their client’s property. 

Andrew said: "It is our job to achieve the best possible sale (or rental) price for our clients. For us to do that we must make the properties stand out and promote them as well as possible and to as many people as possible.

"The more interest that we can generate in a property, the higher the price we are likely to achieve. Superb property marketing is essential in our profession and its great to be recognised for this element of our work too."

It is understood that the marketing photographs, adverts, presentation, and style all played a part, but Cardwells individual property marketing videos were thought to of played a key part in the victory.

They provided assistance to a school raising funds for an extension, ran school art competitions giving away theme park tickets as prizes, and partnered with some wonderful charities including Bury Hospice and Bolton Hospice. 

Charity endeavours undertaken by members of the Cardwells team include: zip wire challenges, abseiling, white collar boxing matches, coffee mornings and Andrew has recently completed his 42nd marathon. Charitable efforts and community support are clearly close to the heart of this family run firm.
