Green-fingered residents are being called to Prestwich tomorrow for a seed sowing and swapping event.

Incredible edible Prestwich and District will be taking part in the RHS Big Seed Sow tomorrow, Saturday, April 1, from 11am to 1pm at Phillips Park.

The RHS Big Seed Sow, is a new project for schools and communities to come together to sow and share seeds as part of a week of activity from Monday, March 27 to Sunday, April 2.

As well as sowing seeds, those attending the event are encouraged to bring their seeds to swap with others.

Outdoor Adventurers Forest School will also be attending for children’s activities, making and decorating seed packets and planting micro greens to take home.

There will also be a nature scavenger hunt and hot herbal drinks.
