Children and adults are being invited to a silent disco in the heart of Bury this week and next week as well as a hands-on history event and craft workshops over the Easter holidays. 

A jam-packed programme of Easter events will be taking place over the next few weeks in Bury to keep children entertained over the school break.  

On Thursday, April 6 and Thursday, April 13, two-channel adults and children's silent disco will take place in the Mill Gate Shopping Centre at 11am and 1pm with tickets priced at £2.50 per person.

The silent discos are produced by Discover Bury and funded by businesses in Bury town centre.

The disco can be found outside of TJ Hughes.

A Hands on History event will also take place at The Fusilier Museum on April 14 and Children’s craft workshops are taking place at Bury Art Museum on April 8, 11, 13 and 15.

Abigail Richardson, Bury BID’s project executive, said: “Bury and its businesses have got so much to offer this Easter holidays.  

“Why not make a day of it – there’s lots to keep everyone entertained with the awesome art museum, the fun of the silent discos and the delights of the town's food and drink offering – and make sure you leave time to enjoy the great shopping!”

There is also an ongoing Easter egg hunt in the Mill Gate Shopping Centre, which lasts up until Thursday, April 6.
