A new market is set to wow residents and visitors in Ramsbottom this weekend as the Rammy Makers Market makes its debut in the town.

The first Rammy Makers Market will take place on Sunday, April 30, from 11am to 4pm showcasing local businesses and what “Ramsbottom has to offer”.

Similar to the Chocolate and Cheese Festival, which took place at the start of the month, the market will be set up inside the Civic Hall, around the urn and on St Paul’s Gardens.

Speaking about the new market, a spokesperson said they would encourage everyone to check it out, adding that: “Now more than ever, it is important to show our support for local businesses and show what Ramsbottom as to offer.”

There will be fresh produce including fruit and vegetables, pies, cakes and cheese.

Local business, Colleen’s restaurant, will be selling fresh croissants, bakes and homemade sodas.

Alongside food, local artists will be selling their work, musicians will be performing, and vintage vinyl will also be on sale.

Paint and create sessions are also set to take place for children between 12pm and 2pm and story time sessions will take place at 1.20pm and 2.20pm from the league of curiosity.

It is expected that after the event on Sunday, the Rammy Makers Market will be held around every four weeks on the last Sunday of each month.
