A celebrity chef has said he "loves coming to Bury Market" after he was spotted with film crews this afternoon.
Christopher Richard Stein, CBE, also known as Rick Stein, has been filming on Bury Market today for a new television series.
The English celebrity chef will be hosting a series, featuring Bury Market, on different foods from around the UK.
Speaking about the market he said: "I absolutely love coming toBury market, its been a fabulous morning."
The well-known restaurateur, writer and television presenter was spotted by shoppers who were on the market this afternoon.
Between filming, Stein has been taking photos with shoppers and market holders have been keen to share samples of their food with the chef.
Two members of the “Rick Stein Team”, Will and Chris, explained a little bit about what was going on.

Will said: “We are here filming a series about food around the United Kingdom with Rick Stein as the charming host.”
Shoppers say that Stein had been on the Market since this morning and a few had gathered to watch what was going on.
