One of the world's most famous obstacle courses is returning to Manchester this summer.

Tough Mudder will be heading to Heaton Park on July 15 and 16 for a challenging weekend event for those who dare to take on the course.

The obstacles this year have been upgraded for participants to be pushed to their limits on this unforgettable course.

The course will force entrants to test their grit, teamwork and camaraderie and over 7,000 participants are expected to take on the challenge.

There will be three events taking place over the course of the weekend.

The Tough Mudder 5K is a Tough Mudder classic, however the shorter distance is lined with 13 physically demanding obstacles and the event requires an elite mindset to conquer.

The Tough Mudder 10K is for those who want to challenge their limits to extreme lengths, this course contains 20 obstacles that will either make or break brave participants.

The One Mile Lidl Mudder Adventure has many obstacles included.

The one-mile muddy obstacle course is the perfect event for children who seem to have unlimited energy and the adventure encourages children to get muddy and perfect their teamwork.

Tough Mudder welcomes people of all ages, sizes and fitness levels with open arms to come out and challenge their mental and physical toughness.
