A popular annual event is set to return to Tottington this summer with an "exciting line-up".

Tottington’s Big Day Out will take place in the village from noon to 6pm on Sunday, July 2.

A host of entertainment has been announced, including Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons tribute act the Jersey Coasters, P*Starr, the North West’s premier funk band, and Just like a P!nk, a tribute to P!nk.

The event will also have a wide range of food and drink available including Pimms, soft drinks, sweets and a BBQ as well as vendors including an ice cream van, Fish & Chips, Epic Pizza, Momma Lou's Donuts and Snaffle mobile bar.

The Big Day Out is also inviting trade people to set up a number of stalls for festival-goers to enjoy, they’ll be selling items such as pocket money toys, tie dyed clothing, ladies clothing and accessories, tombola, decorated horseshoes, face Painting, handmade crafts, radio controlled models, tanning Products.

The event takes place at Crompton Meadows, Beryl Avenue and tickets cost £2 for everyone. Organisers promise they’ll be something for everyone as well as the usual mix of good family entertainment and great live music.

Tottington’s Big Day out returned last year following a two-year break during the coronavirus pandemic.

Residents are reminded that Kirklees Street will be closed to vehicles from Royd Street which will be accessible to residents only.

Parking will be available at Tottington High School.
