Most of the borough came alive with sunshine and music this weekend as sounds from DJs and performers at the Prestwich festival carried across Bury.

This group of friends said: “We got here at about 2pm and had a walk around but needed a sit-down and to find some shade!
“It feels amazing to be here even with the heat.
“Our top three people to see are Annie Mac, Aitch and Fred again.”

Volunteers were ready for festival goers at Heaton Park Methodist Church with juice, water, toilets and snacks available for anyone.
The group stayed out from 10am until 3pm both days.
