The Met Office has put out a further yellow weather warning for thunder in Bury.

The weather service has said that a large portion of the UK, including Bury, could see thunderstorms today, Monday, June 12.

Following on from thunder warnings yesterday, they say that there is a chance of it until 9pm tonight.

A Met Office spokesperson said: "Yellow weather warnings updated.

"Slow moving thunderstorms developing this afternoon may bring some disruption today from 12pm to 9pm.

"Stay weather aware."

The weather service says there is a 'small chance' that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly and there is a chance of delays and cancellations to train and bus services where flooding or lightning strikes occur.

It also says that spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and road closures, with a 'slight chance' of power cuts occurring and other services to homes and businesses being lost.

This comes after a yellow warning was also issued yesterday, Sunday, June 11, for thunderstorms in Bury.
