A man whose family attracted attention after a social media post about the cost of a leg of lamb went viral is celebrating after winning a prize.

Clive Turner runs his business Sure Roofing but is known as a "bit of a local celebrity".

His wife posted her "unfiltered feelings" on the Facebook group "What's on in Ramsbottom" in a "Lambgate" post last year regarding the cost of a leg that Clive had bought them for a Sunday roast dinner.

The lamb was eventually given away to a food bank and the family had pork chops for tea.

The post and Clive led to online success and the bizarre results of fans going on to write poems and songs about the incident.

Adding to his local fame, Clive has now won the Made in Bury Weekly £2,000 Draw with ticket number 22433.

After being surprised with the news on a phone call, Clive was excited to hear the news that he had won and said that his winnings will be spent on a trip to Bulgaria and "lots of beers".
