A yellow weather warning has been set for Bolton and Bury tomorrow.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for areas in the North West of England including Bolton and Bury.
The forecast shows it will rain for majority of the day on Monday, with heavy showers expected in the afternoon.
Temperatures will start at 14 degrees in the morning at 6am but reach 16 degrees by 12pm.
A spokesman for the Met Office said: “Rain, heavy and persistent at times, bringing the risk of disruption to transport and infrastructure.”
There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings.
Delays may be expected on public transport tomorrow as the bad weather continues.
A spokesman for the Met Office said: “Unsettled on Monday with heavy, perhaps thundery, showers and longer spells of rain.
“Temperatures suppressed under persistent rain but feeling humid. Turning drier into the evening. Maximum temperature 19 °C.”
But as the week goes on, the weather is set to get better and the sun will be back once more with less showers.
A Met Office spokesman said: “An increasing amount of fine weather through the week with pleasant sunny spells and showers becoming fewer in number each day.
“Feeling warm in the sunshine as temperatures rise.”
Tropical air could make parts of the UK hotter than California at the end of next week with temperatures possibly soaring past 30C, after heavy rain lashes the country.
Temperatures are set to increase next at the end of the week with Bury reaching highs of 24 degrees.
