Ramsbottom Civic Hall is set to be filled with classic collectables, retro fashion, unique finds and a TV star at a vintage fair.
Prestwich vintage lover Michelle Barratt, who regularly visited a bi-monthly Stockport Marketplace fair, recently decided she wanted to create something similar closer to home.
Michelle Barratt brought her "So Retro Vintage Fair" to Prestwich, and after increasing interest and popularity with traders and customers, says she is excited to come to Ramsbottom to celebrate all things retro in an even bigger venue.
She said: “I love rummaging around vintage fairs and I really wanted to bring one of these events to my local area.
“Ramsbottom is perfect for a vintage fair, it’s full of character, which really works with the vintage theme.”
As well as stalls there will be live music from the three-part harmony girl group, The Villanelles, and talks from TV interior designer Sian Astley, who will be explaining how to incorporate vintage into your homes.
Michelle said: “I wanted to create an event that would keep people in the local area, so they can come and browse the stalls, explore outside, come back for some live music then visit a local café or restaurant for some food, before coming back to see Sian in action.
“It’s an event where people can really make a day of it.”
Sian has appeared on shows such as Half Built House, DIY SOS and Getting the Builders In, as well as project managing behind the scenes on Your Home Made Perfect.
She is also renovating her own home in South Manchester and always uses reclaimed materials, decorative salvage and unique pieces for both client design work and her own projects.
She runs workshops from her home on how to use the past to create the future and will be bringing her wealth of knowledge to the vintage fair.
The fair will be held on Sunday, September 17 from 11am to 4pm with entry priced at £2 on the door, and under 14s are free.
Visitors also can get a stamp which allows them to come and go throughout the day.
