The following people from Bury have been dealt with at the magistrates courts – all for motoring offences.

Magistrates have penalised people from the area for driving without insurance, drug driving, speeding and failing to stop.

Adam Greenwood drove under the influence of cocaine.

The 40-year-old carried out the offence in February this year while behind the wheel of a Ford Transit on Tottington Road, Bury.

He admitted the offence at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court.

Following this Greenwood, from Bury Road, Tottington, was banned from the roads for 40 months and fined £350.

Hannah Eisenberg drove at 101pmh on the M62 between Junction 12 and 11.

The 36-year-old carried out the offence in April while behind the wheel of a BMW.

The road has a speed limit of 70mph.

She admitted the offence at Tameside Magistrates Court.

Eisenberg, from New George Street, Bury, was fined £790 and given six points on her licence.

John Mawdsley drove a Land Rover without insurance or a licence on Manchester Road, Bury, in May.

The case against the 69-year-old was proven at Tameside Magistrates Court.

Mawdsley, from Plover Drive, Bury, was fined £660 and given seven points on his licence.

Hamza Hameed failed to tell police who the driver of a vehicle was.

The 27-year-old was required to tell officers who was behind the wheel of a vehicle alleged to have been involved in an offence in Bradford in November last year.

He failed to do so.

Kian Stevens failed to stop when required to do so by a constable in uniform.

The 20-year-old carried out the offence on Ramsbottom Road, Bury, while driving a Yamaha in March.

Stevens admitted the offence at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court.

Following the outcome a fine of £170 was given to Stevens, from Turton Road, Tottington.
