Drivers in and around Bury will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for in the next two weeks.

Four of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M60, from 9pm on October 19 to 5am on November 1, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M62 eastbound, junction 18 to 19 - lane closure and slip road closures for communications.

• M60, from 8.30pm on October 18 to 5am on December 8, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M60 both directions junction 18 to 16 - lane closure for construction improvement/upgrade.

A further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M60, from 8pm on November 2 to 6am on November 3, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 clockwise M66 to junction 19 - carriageway closure for electrical works.

• M66, from 8pm on November 6 to 6am on November 8, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 southbound, junction 3 to 4 - lane closure for communications.

• M60, from 8pm on November 6 to 6am on November 7, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M60 clockwise junction 16 to 17 lane closures due to drainage.

• A56, from 8.30pm on November 11 to 5am on November 12, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M66 northbound and southbound, junction 0 - two lane closure carriageway closure due to maintenance works.

• M66, from 8.30pm on November 12 to 5am on November 13, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M66 both directions, junction 2 to 3 - carriageway closure for horticulture (cutting and planting).

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
