Bury has been hit with a weather warning as Storm Debi hits the UK.
The yellow warning for wind, the lowest level of alert, will be in place from 4am until 6pm for Manchester.
According to the Met Office this means that strong winds are to be expected, which could bring about some power cuts, transport services being affected, and injuries and danger to life from flying debris are possible.
The wind is anticipated to gradually increase in Bury throughout the morning, starting off at 35mph, and reaching as high as 53mph by 3pm today.
Strong winds will ease overnight though showers, some heavy at times, are predicted.

Chief meteorologist Matthew Lehnert said: “Storm Debi has developed rapidly overnight and will bring impacts across parts of the UK today.”
Weather warnings have been issued for large parts of the UK, as the storm is forecast to sweep across Ireland before reaching northern England and parts of Wales on Monday.
