A solicitors which has its headquarters in Bury has branched out to open a new office in Salford.

Woodcocks Haworth and Nuttall Solicitors (WHN) has opened its new base at Centenary House, on the edge of Media City.

The office will be led by senior associate Stephen Pinnington, a family law specialist who joined the firm in July, bringing more than 30 years’ experience to the business.

Legal experts from WHN’s current business law and private client teams will be available for appointments throughout the week, meaning clients can receive advice on a full range of legal issues including corporate and commercial, commercial property, business disputes, debt recovery, employment law, wills and probate.

WHN’s Salford office is the firm’s ninth in the North West and it is planning to recruit new specialists to the office over the next year.

WHN CEO Michael Shroot said: “Since Stephen’s appointment in July, WHN has seen exceptional levels of growth and new clients in the Salford area.

"Opening our Salford office is a natural next step for the organisation.

“Our overarching philosophy is to put the client experience at the heart of everything we do, and we are looking forward to taking this to Salford, which is a vibrant, growing city region with a strong demand for commercial and private client services.

Mr Pinnington said: “Salford is a diverse economy which includes some of the UK’s biggest and best-known companies including TalkTalk, Swinton Insurance, ITV and Kellogg Group as well as an innovative SME business community, which is WHN’s core commercial market.

“The feedback I have received since joining WHN is that both commercial and private clients in this area want specialist lawyers who are on their doorstep.

“WHN has some of the region’s best lawyers, some of which were recently ranked by national legal directories, Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners, so we can give our Salford clients access to high levels of expertise.”

The firm employs 110 staff from offices in Bury, Accrington, Bacup, Blackburn, Clitheroe, Great Harwood, Haslingden, Rawtenstall and Salford.
