A host of exciting family activities are coming to Bury's Mill Gate Shopping Centre for its Christmas schedule.

The shopping centre, which recently won Customer Service Team of the Year at the Sceptre Awards, will have a line up of free family events, including a snowboard simulator, Christmas workshops, and an elf trail.

Shopping centre manager Angela Tierney said: “Christmas has always been such a magical time at Mill Gate, and we are so excited about the programme of events we have planned.

“We want people to bring their family and friends and enjoy all that we have to offer at this time of year with activities perfect for all members of your festive group.”

The festivities will begin on Sunday, November 26 where visitors will have the chance to enter the Mill Gate hall of fame by taking on the snowboard simulator between 11am and 4pm.

On the same day, Bury Lantern Parade will pass through the Mill Gate after 3.30pm on its way to Kay Gardens.

The centre's winter garden will host Christmas workshops every Sunday in December which will be hosted by Santa’s friends.

From December 1 to December 17, guests can embark on the Christmas Elf Trail where there will be hidden letters within the Mill Gate’s stores.

The headline offering from the centre is its 12 Days of Christmas, which will see it offering giveaways through its social media platforms each day from December 1 to December 12 from a variety of stores.
