Bury's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network over the next two weeks.

Five of them are expected to cause moderate delays with drivers facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M60, from 8.30pm on October 18 to 5am on December 8, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M60 both directions junction 18 to junction 16 - lane closure for construction improvement/upgrade.

A further six closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M66, from 8pm on November 27 to 6am on November 29, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 both directions junction 1 to junction 4 - lane closure for structure and maintenance.

• M60, from 11.59pm on November 29 to 5am on November 30, moderate delays of 10 to 30 minutes: M60 both directions, junction 16 to junction 18 - carriageway closure for horticulture.

• M60, from 8.30pm on November 30 to 5am on December 1, moderate delays of 10 to 30 minutes: M60 both directions, junction 18 to junction 17 - carriageway closure for horticulture.

• M60, from 8.30pm on December 2 to 5am on December 3, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 both directions, junction 18 to junction 19 - carriageway closure for horticulture.

• M60, from 9pm on December 3 to 5am on December 4, moderate delays of 10 to 30 minutes: M60 clockwise and anticlockwise junction 19 to junction 18 lane closures and slip road closures due to maintenance works.

• M66, from 9pm on December 11 to 5am on December 13, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M66 southbound, junction 2 entry slip road closure due to drainage.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
