Bury's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network in the next two weeks.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures are already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M60, from 8.30pm on October 18 to 5am on Tuesday, December 19, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M60 both directions junction 18 to junction 16 - lane closure for construction improvement/upgrade.

• M60, from 9pm on Tuesday, December 12 to 5am on Thursday, December 14, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M60 anti-clockwise junction 19 to junction 18 - lane closure for barriers - permanent.

A further three closures will begin over the next two weeks: 

• M60, from 9pm on Monday, December 18 to 5am on Tuesday, December 19, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M60 both directions, junction 18 to junction 19 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

• M60, from 9pm on Tuesday, December 19 to 5am on Wednesday, December 20, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M60 clockwise, junction 18 to junction 19 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

• M66, from 9pm on Wednesday, December 20 to 5am on Friday, December 22, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 both directions junction 4 to junction 2 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
