A number of people from Bury have recently been before the courts in a range of cases.

Magistrates have dealt with people for motoring offences, theft and forgery.

Romana Tokarova stole £300 worth of heaters from The Range in Prestwich.

The 33-year-old admitted the offence, which took place in April this year,  at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court.

Tokarova, of York Street, Bury, was ordered to pay compensation of £100.

Anthony Branagan drove a motorcycle on Manchester Road, Bury, with excess alcohol in his system in October.

The 42-year-old was found to have 54 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.

Branagan admitted drink driving at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court.

The man from Gigg Lane, Bury, was banned from the roads for three years and fined £392.

Declan Marsden drove at 51mph on a road with a 30mph limit.

The 19-year-old carried out the offence on Derby Street, Bolton, in May this year.

He admitted driving at excess speed at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court.

Marsden, of Northlands, Radcliffe, was fined £380 and given six points on his licence.

Michelle Wood dishonestly used a PayPal account to gain £1,685.

The 40-year-old made a dishonest representation in Prestwich earlier this month.

She admitted the offence at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court.

Wood, of Polefield Approach, Prestwich, was placed on a community order to last for a year.

She was ordered to do 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days, unpaid work of 100 hours and to pay compensation of £1685.

Jason Jenkinson drove a Ford Focus on Croft Lane, Bury, with excess alcohol in his system.

The 51-year-old carried out the offence in November.

He was breathalysed and found to have 75 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

He admitted the offence at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court.

Jenkinson, of Croft Lane, Bury, was banned from the roads for 20 months and fined £120.
