The extra benefits Bury's MPs received last year have been revealed.

According to the official Parliamentary Register of Members' Financial Interests, a system used by MPs to declare earnings on top of their salary, Bury North MP James Daly received £23,739.70 in gifts and extra earnings while Bury South representative Christian Wakeford amassed a value of £2,300.

The Conservative MP received 10 times extra in income, gifts and donations last year than Mr Wakeford.

The largest declared interest was £5,000 from The Carlton Club Political Committee and he received another donation of £2,195.79 from the New Conservatives Ltd which was paid to the party association to cover the costs of printing surveys and associated items such as envelopes.

In terms of gifts, he was given two tickets with hospitality for the England vs Scotland game at Twickenham totalling £3,900 from Make Consulting Ltd.

Two tickets with hospitality at the FA Cup Final totalling £3,348 from The Betting and Gaming Council.

One ticket with hospitality for the Men’s Ashes Day 1 at Edgbaston totalling £950 from The Lord’s Taverners.

The England and Wales Cricket Board made three separate donations, which were two tickets for the England vs Ireland at Lord’s worth £140, two tickets to watch The Ashes at Headingly worth £220 and two tickets to watch The Ashes at Old Trafford worth £194.

He was also given two tickets with hospitality for the Open worth £900 from R&A Championships Limited.

Mr Daly also had three visits outside the UK.

The first was a trip to Corfu in Greece where he was given £740.76 from Awan Marketing plc and £731.48 from Lords and Commons Cricket APPG as a partial contribution towards flight and accommodation costs for him and his wife.

The purpose of the visit was to participate in a tournament alongside the British Army, Lords Taverners charity, Brigade of Gurkhas and the Royal Household to commemorate the 200th Anniversary of cricket in Greece at the invitation of the Hellenic Cricket Association.

The second visit was to the Netherlands, and he was given £715.47 for train travel, accommodation and food by APPG Cricket.

The purpose of the visit was a parliamentary cricket trip with All Party Parliamentary Cricket Group/Lords and Commons Cricket.

And the third trip was to Washington DC, and he was given a total of £4,704.20 for airport transfers, hotel accommodation, economy flights and food by Coalition for Global Prosperity.

The purpose of the visit was for discussions with US policymakers, officials and policy professionals to consider joint UK-US foreign policy challenges.

Mr Daly has been approached for a comment about the extras.

Christian Wakeford (total: £2,300)

The Labour MP for Bury South made £2,300 last year in extra income, gifts and donations last year.

He was given flights, accommodation and meals for a visit to Israel and the Palestinian Territories from February 5 to February 9.

The purpose of the visit was for a meeting with Israeli and Palestinian politicians, academics, activists and diplomats.

A spokesperson for Christian Wakeford said: "Christian went on a fact-finding visit to Israel and the Palestinian Territories in which he met with Israeli and Palestinian politicians, academics, activists and diplomats.

"This was a trip organised by Labour Friends of Israel who subsidised all costs and continues to help Christian when in dialogue with the large Jewish community he has in his constituency of Bury South."
