Snow could be set to fall across Bury tomorrow morning as a yellow warning has been issued for the next three days.

Temperatures are set to fall as low as -3 degrees tomorrow.

This comes after the Met Office sent out a yellow warning for snow and ice across the whole of the North West of England, North Wales, and Scotland for Tuesday and Wednesday.

They predict that there is a 60 per cent chance snow will start falling in Bury between 8am and 9am on Tuesday, January 16.

A statement said: “Further snow showers, perhaps merging into a longer spell of snow, are likely to cause further disruption on Tuesday.”

The Met Office says that this means possible travel delays on roads stranding some vehicles and passengers as well as possible power cuts.

This could have the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage.

This could also mean possible delays or cancellations to rail and air travel, a chance of injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces, and that some rural communities could become cut off.

Temperatures are expected to remain cold over the rest of the week and snow has been predicted for Bury again between 3am and 6am on Wednesday, January 17.

The yellow weather warning is in place until Thursday.

Today temperatures will struggle to get above one degree and the forecast is for sunshine.
