Bury motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network in the next two weeks.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures are ongoing:

• M66, from 8pm on Monday, January 22 to 5am on Friday, January 26, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 southbound, junction 3 to junction 4 - lane closure for horticulture on behalf of National Highways.

• M60, from 9pm on Monday, January 22 to 5am on Thursday, January 25, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 anti-clockwise junction 20 to junction 19 - lane closures and slip road closure for drainage on behalf of National Highways.

A further five closures will be set up in the next two weeks: 

• M66, from 9pm on Monday, January 29 to 5am on Friday, February 2, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 northbound, junction 4 to junction 1 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

• M60, from 9pm on Monday, January 29 to 5am on Tuesday, January 30, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M62 Simister Island Roundabout carriageway closure on the North side of roundabout.

• M60, from 8pm on Wednesday, January 31 to 5am on Thursday, February 1, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M60 clockwise junction 16 to junction 17 - lane closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.

• A56, from 9pm on Friday, February 2 to 5am on Sunday, February 4, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M66 northbound and southbound, junction 0 - two lane closure carriageway closure due to maintenance works.

• M60, from 8pm on Monday, February 5 to 6am on Thursday, February 8, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 both directions junction 16 to junction 18 - carriageway closure for structure - maintenance.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
