A number of people from Bury have recently been before the courts.

Magistrates have dealt with a range of offences including assault and driving matters.

Here are the people who have appeared in the dock recently.

Gerald Conneely failed to provide a specimen of breath for analysis when required to do so by police

Officers requested a sample in January this year on an industrial estate in Wrexham after he was suspected of having committed a road traffic offence.

Conneely admitted failing to provide one at Wrexham Magistrates' Court.

The 32-year-old of Hollins Lane, Bury, was given a sentence of 12 weeks suspended for a year.

He was banned from the roads for 30 weeks and ordered to do 120 hours of unpaid work.

Reece Thompson drove a Renault Clio on Scholes Lane, Prestwich, with cannabis in his system in October last year.

The 24-year-old admitted the offence at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court.

Thompson, of Hart Drive, Bury, was banned from the roads for a year and fined £120.

Jake Keylock attacked a woman in Leeds in September last year.

The 26-year-old admitted actual bodily harm at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court.

Following this Keylock, of Moorsview, Ramsbottom, was placed on a community order to last for a year.

As part of this he was ordered to complete 25 rehabilitation activity requirement days.

Edith Nnaemezie failed to provide a specimen of breath for analysis on Christmas Day last year.

Police requested one in Manchester when they believed the 61-year-old had carried out an offence.

At Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court, Nnaemezi, of Rectory Green, Prestwich, admitted she had failed to do so.

She was banned from the roads for a year and given a fine of £372.
