A number of people from Bury have recently appeared in court in a range of cases including driving offences and the theft of toys.

Nicola Ryan drove a Fiat 500 on Bury New Road, Bury, without insurance and while disqualified in December last year.

The 45-year-old admitted the two offences at Manchester Magistrates' Court.

Ryan, of Cuckoo Lane, Prestwich, was placed on a community order to last for a year.

She was ordered to do 60 hours of unpaid work and was given six points on her licence.

John Kyle drove an Audi on Bury and Bolton Road, Bury, while over the drink driving limit.

The 32-year-old was breathalysed and found to have 40 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.

Kyle, of Dean Church Lane, Bolton, admitted the offence at Manchester Magistrates' Court.

He was banned from driving for a year and fined £333.

Demi Boyd stole toys worth £77.50 from The Entertainer store in Bury in December last year.

The 19-year-old admitted the offence at Manchester Magistrates' Court.

Boyd, of Walmersley Road, Bury, was placed on a community order to last for a year.

She was ordered to attend 10 rehabilitation activity requirement days.

Stephen Barnes failed to provide a specimen of breath when required to do so by the police in Bury in October last year.

The 37-year-old admitted the offence at Manchester Magistrates' Court.

Barnes, of Woodhill Road, Bury, was banned from the roads for a year and fined £120.
