Police were called after a car crashed into a boundary wall of a property earlier this evening (Saturday).
The crash took place at Higher Ainsworth Road.
Bricks were strewn across the pavement with the wall largely demolished in the crash.
Police attended but have now left the scene.
Fencing has been placed up outside the property and alongside a sign advising that the footpath is closed.
It is understood the collision took place at around 7.30pm.
The cause of the crash is not known but near residents say there are issues with speeding on the road.
One resident said: "Nobody saw it, there were no witnesses.
"We came out and there was a car on the street.
"The police were here.
"The road was closed for a bit."
She added: "With the speeding that goes on here it was only a matter of time."
There have been a number of crashes in recent years on Grindsbrook Road, where vehicles have demolished the wall.
