Drivers in and around Bury will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for in the next two weeks.

Two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The closures will begin over the next two weeks: 

• M60, from 9pm tonight, Tuesday, April 16 to 5am on Thursday, April 18, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M60 both directions junction 17 to junction 16 - lane closure for permanent barriers.

• M66, from 8pm on Friday, April 19 to 5am on Sunday, April 21, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 northbound, junction 3 to junction 2 - lane closure for permanent barriers.

• M60, from 9pm on Friday, April 19 to 5am on Saturday, April 20, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M62 westbound, junction 19 to junction 18 - carriageway closure for communications.

• M60, from 9pm on Sunday, April 21 to 5am on Tuesday, April 23, slight delays under 10 minutes: M60 anti-clockwise, junction 19 to junction 18 - lane closure for permanent barriers on behalf of National Highways.

• M60, from 9pm on Tuesday, April 23 to 5am on Wednesday, April 24, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 clockwise junction 17 to junction 18 - carriageway closure for communications.

• M60, from 8pm on Wednesday, April 24 to 5am on Thursday, April 25, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M60 clockwise junction 19 to junction 20 - lane closure for drainage on behalf of National Highways.

• M60, from 8pm on Wednesday, April 24 to 5am on Thursday, April 25, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M62 eastbound, junction 18 to junction 19 - lane closure for communications.

• M60, from 9pm on Thursday, April 25 to 5am on Friday, April 26, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M60 anti-clockwise, junction 19 to junction 18 - lane closure for permanent barriers on behalf of National Highways.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
