Police have launched an appeal after three cars were stolen in Bury in the space of a few days.

A white Ford Transit van was stolen from Hillyard Street and a grey BMW was taken from Moreton Drive between 3pm and 4pm on Saturday, April 20.

Then, overnight on Tuesday, April 22, a Mini Countryman was stolen from Kingsley Street, near to the junction of Newbold Street.

Police are asking witnesses to come forward and have released the registration plate numbers.

A police spokesperson said: "Officers from Bury's neighbourhood crime ream are investigating a series of burglaries and vehicle thefts that occurred in the Elton and Walshaw area this week.

"On Saturday afternoon (April 20) between 3pm to 4pm a white Ford Transit registration MV12 EUP was stolen from Hillyard Street, Bury, and a grey BMW 520D registration MX14 UDO was stolen from Moreton Drive, Bury.

"Then, overnight on Tuesday, April 22 to Wednesday, April 23 a Mini Countryman registration YF11 VGM was taken from Kingsley Street, near to the junction of Newbold Street, Bury (pictured below).

"All vehicles remain outstanding.
