Police have released CCTV pictures of two men after a man was kicked on the ground at Bury FC's play-off final this month.

Violence broke out at the Shakers' North West Counties Premier Division play-off final match away at Wythenshawe Town's Ericstan Park Stadium on Saturday, May 4.

Greater Manchester Police has said that after the final whistle of the match, which was won by Wythenshawe Town following a penalty shootout, disorder broke out between supporters.

Videos were shared on social media of a man on the floor who, while down on the ground, was being kicked to the head.

Another pair could be seen throwing punches at one another until one was pushed to the floor.

Distressed onlookers could be heard pleading with the men to stop the fight.

One woman could be heard in the video saying: "Stop it now.

"There are kids about."

Bury released a statement the following day on Sunday, May 5 and said such "poor behaviour" has already led to strict punishments for fans in the season - and for the club.

Police are now appealing for the public’s help in identifying two men, releasing pictures of them.
