The iconic adrenaline-fuelled Tough Mudder challenge is set to take over Heaton Park.
The mud-soaked obstacle course will test competitors' grit and determination in a relentless test of physical endurance and mental fortitude.

On Saturday, July 13 and Sunday, July 14, competitors will have to battle through mud pits, towering walls, challenging obstacles and ice-cold water challenges at the park.
Tough Mudder has more than 20 obstacles, is 10km long and aims to push people beyond their comfort zone, from the "Mud Mile" to the "Everest 2.0".
Thousands of participants are expected to take on the challenge with around 7,000 attending last year.

And the much-loved Lidl Mudder will be returning so children can get involved.
The one-mile adventure is built to provide children with a chance to experience the thrill of overcoming obstacles in a supportive and fun environment.

Managing director of Tough Mudder, Matthew Brooke, said: “Tough Mudder is delighted to welcome people back to the notorious Heaton Park, the course has a habit of being a calendar favourite with so many incredible people coming to the event.
“I have no doubt amazing memories will be made by our old and new faces.”
