A restaurant in Ramsbottom is set to close its doors next month after initial plans to relocate to Bury were “unsuccessful”.
The co-owner of KimJi, a Korean restaurant in Bolton Street, has made the announcement on social media today, Tuesday.
Sam Chen said: “It’s with a mix of gratitude and sadness that we share some news with you.
"After much thought, we’ve made the tough decision to close Ramsbottom Kimji.”
He explained that the original plan to relocate the business to Bury once the Ramsbottom lease ends had been “unsuccessful”.
Sam added: “While this is a difficult moment for us, we want to take the time to say a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you.
“Your support, smiles, and loyalty have meant the world to us, and we’re so grateful for the memories we’ve created together.”

The family-run business will host a final farewell on Sunday, March 2 before closing the Ramsbottom restaurant for good.
It first opened in 2021 after establishing a successful restaurant in Preston three years earlier.
It provided a communal dining experience serving a traditional Korean menu, including vegetarian and gluten-free options.
Sam confirmed that the Preston restaurant on Winckley Street will remain open.
One commenter said: “Oh dear, this is my favourite place, I love it here.
"Me and my partner have been a number of times and love it, the barbecue chicken is to die for.”
Another added: “What a shame. Best of luck to you all.”
