Two lifelong friends are bringing ‘stars’ from Hollywood straight to Bury.
Roberto Polacco, 58, and Matt Selby have been friends for more than 50 years.
The pair set up a celebrity look-a-like and entertainment company in August and promise to bring “the very best” musicians to town.
Roberto is a former co-owner of legendary Prestwich venue, ICONS , and is now embarking a new adventure to bring his well-known parties to other venues across the borough.
Book the Starz offers businesses and private parties the chance to host ‘star-studded’ bashes - without the hassle of planning.
With acts such as 'Elvis, Gary Barlow, Madonna' and more, the duo will also arrange all aspects of the event, from music and entertainment to raffles and beyond.
Roberto said: “It’s working really well and we’ve had good reactions so far.
“My dad always had restaurants so it seemed like the next step to combine food with the entertainment.
“You can eat good anywhere, but to entertainment is another story. Instead of going into go into Manchester, we want to give little local places the change to hold bigger events.
“We’re hoping to bring more celebrities, such as Frank Bruno, into places that need it.”

It’s not all about the music either.
Roberto explained that they have had ‘high-quality’ costumes imported from Hollywood including superheroes and princesses. He anticipates that The Grinch’ and ‘Father Christmas’ will be popular with youngest customers in the coming months.
Roberto is well-versed in the industry, having appeared on an early episode of 90s TV show ‘Stars In Their Eyes’ and later worked as an entertainment manager as a restauranteur.
Their next event will take place on Friday, October 24 at Melis Mediterranean Restaurant and Bar in Thatch Leach Lane, Whitefield opened in May, with ‘Madonna’ taking the spotlight.
