A ‘modern and cosy’ bar and café opposite Heaton Park is up for sale.
The Goods In on Infant Street in Prestwich opened its doors five years ago, providing food, drinks and an event space in formerly empty warehouse.
The unit had been left "overgrown and rundown" for several years before it was taken over in 2020.
The business is now up for sale at £75,000, with the “majority of the fixtures and fittings” included in the price.
It is for sale on a leasehold basis for £75,000. The buyer would take over a 10-year lease, from 2019, with annual rent of £19,500, meaning they would acquire the business and the right to occupy the premises — not the building itself.
The listing shows that The Goods In saw a turnover of £397,118 last year, with an adjusted net profit of around £63,000.
It also states that the business has “significant and growing footfall from concerts and events at the park that happen throughout the year” such as Parklife music festival and the summer Oasis gigs, along with “great scope to increase the food offering”.
The listing suggests that “there have already been many successful and lucrative weddings, functions, pop-up markets and makers workshops” hosted at the café, which the new tenants can build on.
The Goods In has an open plan seating area with 90 covers inside, along with an outdoor space hosting 40 covers.

It also boasts a bar area, kitchen with service hatch, studio space, unisex and accessible toilets, a woodburning stove, DJ booth and professional sound system, temperature conditioned cellar room for beer and ale storage.
There is a 10-year lease in place from 2019 and the current rent is set at £19,500, which is reviewed every three years.
The Goods In is managed by the team behind All The Shapes café bar, which opened on nearby Warwick Street in Prestwich around 10 years ago.
