Residents of a Prestwich street have scooped a lucky win on a postcode lottery.

Those living on Perrymead, Prestwich, with tickets in the People's Postcode Lottery daily game will each receive an astonishing £1,000 after their postcode - M25 2QJ - was drawn.

The winners come alongside 19 other postcodes drawn in the UK today, January 22.

In Greater Manchester, a street in Sale and Miles Platting also had wins today.

Subscriptions to the postcode lottery support a range of charities across the UK.

The People's Postcode Lottery manages lotteries for 20 charities, with each one having one draw a month.

The lottery supports "a wide range of charities and good causes across Britain and around the world".

To date, it has provided more than £1.1 billion in funding, which is helping thousands of organisations and projects.

The results of the daily prize draws can be found on the People's Postcode Lottery website.
