Blue Cross is appealing for new homes for several animals this Valentine's Day.
Bobby, a four-year-old Staffordshire bull terrier cross, is described as having "boisterous energy" and would love to find a home.
He is currently based at Blue Cross in Radcliffe.
Rhi Lewis, a pet welfare assistant at the centre, said: "We’re really hoping we can find Bobby his perfect match this Valentine’s.
"Here at Blue Cross, we know how much a pet can change someone’s life, and we hope the right home will come along for Bobby this Valentine’s Day.
"We’re seeing a hidden pet welfare crisis, with more people than ever coming to us for support with their pet."
Bobby requires owners with experience of large bull breeds who can continue his ongoing training.
He enjoys playtime, but also likes to relax in a comfortable chair when he’s not active.
Also seeking a new home is Indiana, a four-year-old black cat who enjoys exploring the outdoors.

When inside, he loves to play with wand and string toys.
Hazel, another cat currently in their care, is around one year old and was admitted as a stray.
She loves feather wand toys, and her appetite is as big as her personality.
Ms Lewis said: “We know a safe, warm home, with people who love them, is the very best place a pet can be so if you choose to rehome one of our pets, you’re not only giving a pet a loving new home but helping us to help another pet in need.”
With growing demand for their services, Blue Cross is encouraging animal lovers to support their work through donations, volunteering, or fostering.
